Work Package 9

WP9 takes care of the effective management and coordination of the project with regards to financial and legal matters, and providing the required reports.

Emma Ostmark

Emma’s background is in polymer technology.

In 2007 she received her Ph.D. from the KTH Royal Institute of Technology, Sweden (KTH), on the subject of Tuning properties of surfaces and nanoscopic objects using dendronization and controlled polymerizations. She then undertook a Post-Doc at SP Department of Wood Technology (SP WT) and KTH School of Chemical Science and Engineering (Fibre and Polymer Technology Divisions) from 2008 to 2010.

Between 2012 and 2014 Emma was Centre Manager for Institute Excellence Centre, EcoBuild, a compentence Centre for Eco-efficient and durable wood-based materials and product. The Centre involves international industrial partners such as IKEA and Akzo Nobel, Universities and Institutes and has been promoting the development of new products such as biobased binders, biobased coatigns, sustainable textile fibers and modified wood.

In 2014 Emma became the Deputy Head of the Biobased Materials and Product section at SP WT. This year, the department name changed from Wood Technology to Sustainable Built Environment, reflecting the work at the department in a more suitable way.
