Work Package 7

This WP tackles the feasibility of scaling-up the production of prototypes developed in WP5.

The first step will be to define and conceptualize the processes needed for industrial manufacturing in each of the different application fields.  These will include scalability of producing raw materials, textiles, automotive parts and of finishing technologies.

Next the scaled-up processes will be validated in industrial environments providing the industrial partners with sufficient information for commercial implementation and exploitation beyond the T2C project.

Work Package Leaders

Enrico Cozzoni

Enrico has a M.Sc. in Aerospace Engineering, a B.Sc. in Mathematics and a Ph.D. in Industrial Engineering.

For a number of years he worked on academic research projects dealing with the use of advanced materials in the automotive, aeronautics and space sectors. In 2007 he began consulting as scientist and project manager for private companies. He has worked with Grado Zero since 2012 and has been responsible for European, national, regional and trans-regional projects.

Enrico’s expertise is industrial manufacturing and materials science, especially composites, nano-composites and lifecycle engineering. In his consultancy work and research activity he also deals with biomaterials and textile engineering.

In his career Enrico has won several national and international prizes for innovation projects related to advanced materials and manufacturing; most recently JEC Innovation Award 2015 in the category Reinforcementsfor the EU FP7 funded project 3DLightTrans. This prize was awarded by the JEC Group, the largest composites industry organization in Europe and in the world.
